@twofivefive My kid went to band wanting to play the flute - we even had one. She came home wanting to play the clarinet. Why? Because the band director was about 25, cute and played the clarinet. 22 girls and 1 boy played the clarinet that year. LOL
I play bass in a 60s/70s cover band, a big band, and in musicals for local community theater. Here's the band from a production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown a couple months ago.
I tried to learn to play the saxophone when I was 12 or so. It didn't take. Plus the music teacher at the time wasn't as interested in teaching beginners and was more focused on the band's performance in Disneyland/Disney World.
piano (read music and play by ear - actually do that with most of these instruments), guitar, mountain dulcimer, tin whistle, recorder, flute, carillon, ocarina, folk transverse bamboo flute, pump organ (I suppose that should count as piano except I have my grandmother's and a piano), pre guitar I had a ukelele, and yes even an accordion briefly in junior high for reasons I no longer remember. Oh bagpipes too. I am meh on most of them, I do get paid to play the carillon on occasion. Just a hobby.
Baritone sax, alto sax, piano, flute, Bb clarinet, bass clarinet, contralto clarinet, guitar, organ -- those are the ones that I can really play. I can also play a little violin, trumpet, trombone oboe, bassoon, and tuba. ...I think I'm forgetting something...
I have mad skills on the air guitar and air drums.
@theco2 I can play the meh button like you wouldn't believe. I could open for you.
@chr You're in.
Flute, Piano, Guitar, but mostly I like singing
does a recorder count? because i can't play that either.
@carl669 They can only count are high as 3.
Who's gonna be the first to say they can play the skin flute?
@jsh139 can play the skin flute! Lol
@capguncowboy Noooo! That's not what I meant at all! I posted out of sheer curiosity, not as a skin flute player!
@jsh139 I have never done it myself, but I try to get my wife to give me lessons on a regular basis.
@capguncowboy exactly. Same here. Kinda hard to understand her instructions though. Almost like she's got something affecting her speech.
@jsh139 HEYYYYY-OHHHHHHH
@jsh139 was about to say Flesh flute
What, no love for the saxophone except under other? Bah!
@Tiamat114 Sousaphone?
@Tiamat114 Saxophone man would be pissed!
I need to get back into playing the piano
Always regretted not learning the accordian
@WilhelmScreamer You spelled drums wrong.
Clarinet Woooooo! And soon my child spawn shall bask in the woodwind glory too...

Drums, harmonica, bit of guitar
No, but I always wanted to learn the Theremin.
@MrGlass Ha! Good luck, good luck.
@MrGlass Some friends have a band and occasionally break out a theremin on stage. I love this one that features it heavily
@MrGlass I am so tempted to buy a Theremini, but I really want to try one out first to see if I can play it as well as I imagine I can in my head.

5 years of classical piano lessons, which I hated. I am more proud of the 1 year I played the glockenspiel in the junior high school band.
Saxomophone... Saxomophone....
@jsh139 Slip Capone - Saxamaphone
I got an Ocarina as a gift one Christmas and played it for a little bit. I think the only thing I played was Puff the Magic Dragon.
Hammered dulcimer. Not the boost for my image I thought it'd be.
I heard that your sister plays the skin flute real well.
I played a trombone back in middle/high school. I haven't touched one since, but I bet I could still make some noise with one.
I know that @curtise plays the Holophonor with great flair and speed.
@Thumperchick
@curtise Now that is one seriously cool looking instrument. Here is a site where they showed making one from a clarinet. http://www.volpinprops.com/holophonor-futurama/
Sigh… I ran into something that says that this is unplayable (http://hackaday.com/2013/08/22/unplayable-holophonor-replica-is-unplayable/ )… too bad. It would have been cool to have a clarinet that looked so wild that actually played.
@Kidsandliz They simply need their own working pair of Robot Devil Hands, is all. Right, @Thumperchick?
@curtise Yup. Damned Robot Devil Hands.

Oh I forgot conch shell and my hands ( like this only I am not nearly so good ). I can get two octaves out of playing my hands.

This one time at band camp...
@dashcloud A friend of my son, was going to band camp, for flute, the summer that movie came out.
@smilingjack That would make you officially old (not that I am young, or anything).
@theco2 Yep
I played uke in the dojo...
No one plays the bag pipes?
@theco2 used to just for the novelty factor
